2022 Tetramythos Agiorgitiko
Tetramythos is a boutique winery on the Peloponnese and the vineyards are between 600 - 1050 m altitude, so a real cool climate. Right from the start, the vineyards were cultivated organically and partly biodynamically.
Their winemaker Panayiotis is known for being one of the most innovative wine producers in Greece; With great devotion, he saved local grapes from extinction and researched how the amphora of the past can be used in the present, including in their new interpretation, Retsina and the Roditis Orange Nature.
This single-varietal wine is made from the revived agiorgitiko grape variety, grown on vines facing the Gulf of Corinth, which are continually cooled by the sea breeze and rooted in calcareous, mineral-rich soils.
A bouquet of violet intertwines with the freshness of cherry and hints of wet stone. On the palate, its light and youthful character becomes evident with a sumptuous velvety texture that glides with finesse and an intensity that captivates without overwhelming. A wine that flows with poise, perfect for those in pursuit of freshness and minerality.
