Edition 20 | July 13, 2026 - July 19, 2026 | Wine for the Week Ahead
Hi Friends,
This is a big week.
This is astrology that doesn't happen all that often, or actually, if we're being specific, never. Starting this week and bleeding into next week we have all of the outer planets, all of the slow moving planets, lining up in a half circle. Or the “Barbault Basket” if you want to get fancy about it.
Let's discuss shall we? Essentially what's happening is that all four of the outer planets are all at 4 degrees of their sign, and they are all in harmonious aspects to each other simultaneously. It's sometimes called the Barbault Basket because it was first spotted by French astrologer Andre Barbault. Barbault, born in 1921, specialized in tracking long term historical cycles of slow moving outer planets. So obviously this was right up his alley. He saw this alignment and predicted a “major shift in society" and he apparently also predicted the collapse of the soviet union and the Covid-19 Pandemic before his death in 2019.
So we have Jupiter in Leo, Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius all hanging out in this very specific, very rare formation. And when I say rare, I actually mean there is no recorded historical precedent that matches this exact geometric signature. Which is just a fancy way to say: this has never happened before.
And again, I want to emphasize that they are all in harmonious aspect to each other. So while this could be big, it could be paradigm changing, it is hopefully also very good for us both personally and collectively. Fingers crossed and all that.
The exact configuration, the one that has been called a “cosmic pivot point”, peaks around July 19th through July 21st. But it kicks off on Wednesday July 15th with Uranus in Gemini sextiling Neptune in Aries. This is a relationship that allows you to turn your dreams into reality. Neptune is dreamy and just a bit fearless while Uranus is innovative and also a disrupter so it's definitely a fun combination. While you're scrawling in your dream journal on Wednesday, do so while sipping on some Txakolina and really get the whimsical summer time vibes flowing.
Then on Friday July 17th we have Uranus trine Pluto. Which is a relationship that combines the revolutionary, disruptive energy of Uranus with the transformative energy of Pluto. A signature that lets you restart, rebuild or relaunch easily. Map out exactly what you want this new era of your life to look like while drinking some Picpoul and channeling the inventive and future looking Aquarius where Pluto is currently sitting.
Bottom line, you should definitely drink some wine this week. And then meet us back here next week for the rest (the peak!) of this never before seen astrology.
Tarot Card of the Week

A card of endings, painful truths, and the release that comes when there’s nowhere else to go but forward. You can't have a new paradigm without getting rid of the old you know?
The Ten of Swords is dramatic, final, and often difficult, but it also signals the clearing away of what no longer serves you. The wine pairing for this card is an oaked Chardonnay. Rich, full-bodied, and often polarizing, oaked Chardonnay embodies this card’s intensity. Love it or hate it, it makes a strong statement and rarely leaves room for middle ground.
