Edition 19 | July 6, 2026 - July 12, 2026 | Wine for the Week Ahead

Ok friends. I mentioned last week that July has a lot going on astrologically speaking. And while that is true, this week is relatively mellow as we prepare for the very unique astrology lining up for us next week. So let's get into it.

On Tuesday, Neptune in Aries stations retrograde. This in and of itself isn't exactly revolutionary, Neptune is retrograde for half the year. But because it is stationing retrograde now it's getting in line with a lot of the other slow moving planets that we will be talking about next week. It's actually moving in a very supportive, harmonious relationship with those planets so I know a lot of people often look at a retrograde as a negative but this is actually going to be good for us.

But it is, of course, retrograde. Neptune is the planet of dreams, spirituality and intuition and when it's retrograde it's time to turn that energy inward. Which means this is a great time to really examine your motivations, why you're doing what you're doing, what your goals are and importantly if your actions are truly aligned with your goals. And as you start to make your own personal inventory we recommend sipping on some Vermentino. Vermentino is a Mediterranean white that feels almost like liquid moonlight — fresh, saline, herbal, with whispers of citrus and sea spray. Perfect for this moment of introspection.

And then, on Sunday, Mercury, which is currently retrograde in Cancer we discussed last week, has a Cazimi with the Sun. Which means this is when we're going to get some clarity on a message, we're going to get something helpful, some insight. Maybe it will shed some light on something that's gone a little wacky because of the Mercury retrograde. It's going to help us see what went wrong, or the reason why something happened that's been confusing us. And at the very least it is a great day for a conversation, to get a message out.

And while you're either sending out your own message or receiving clarity we recommend sipping on some Sauvignon Blanc this Sunday. In perfect pairing with our Tarot Card of the week below, Sauvignon Blanc, is crisp bright and helps cut straight to the heart of the matter.

Tarot Card of the Week

A spark of clarity, the “aha” moment, the clean cut through confusion. The Ace of Swords is about truth, breakthroughs, and fresh perspectives. It’s sharp, direct, and impossible to ignore. And our pairing for this card is Sauvignon Blanc. Bright, zippy, and unapologetically crisp. Sauvignon Blanc cuts through the noise with citrus, green apple, and herbal notes. Like the Ace, it doesn’t sugarcoat, it delivers clarity in a glass.
