Edition 6 | April 6, 2026 - April 12, 2026 | Wine for the Week Ahead
The general vibe I get from this is, at least in our personal lives, April is the month to take action. Basically, if there is something that you've been wanting, it's time to stop thinking about it, stop planning it and take some action. Which, OK, stop yelling directly at me, I get it.
This week isn't crazy, but that sentiment seems to hold true here. This week we're talking about Mars in Aries and Mars meeting up with Neptune in Aries.
On April 9th Mars moves into Aries. Aries is Mars's home so when it's here it is quick, impulsive and moving fast. It's a sports car whipping down the freeway and because it's home nothing is holding it back. Mars is hanging out here for approximately 5 weeks, which is again why this is a great time to take action, get something done.
But there is also another piece to that equation. On April 12th Neptune pops into Aries too and joins in on the party. Neptune represents idealism, dreams and intuitive gifts. But in Aries Neptune is in its fall meaning things might get murky and confusing.
Neptune and Mars in Aries together are going to feel dizzying. It's an action that feels both urgent but also a little confusing. Like you might get lost as you're speeding down the highway towards your dreams. To combat that just make sure you know what you're aiming towards, know what your ideals are so that even if you get a bit lost in the fog you know you're at least aiming the momentum in the right direction.
And as you're preparing ahead of time to make sure you're at least pointing in the right direction you can pair that planning with a Volcanic wine. Volcanic wines are some of my favorites in the world. Just like it sounds, volcanic wines are grown near a Volcano and the wines from these regions are known for their high acid, intense mineral notes and sometimes even smokey qualities. Grab something from Sicily and the slopes of Etna, the alien landscape of the Canary Islands or basket vines of Sardinia and you're in business. Because what says action, determination and just a bit of chaos like wines grown at the foot of volcanoes.
Tarot Card of the Week

The card of the week is The Devil. The Devil embodies temptation, indulgence, and the shadow side of desire — a reminder of both our vices and the liberation in acknowledging them. And the wine pairing for this card is Amarone della Valpolicella.
Amarone is decadent, powerful, and almost sinful, dripping with intensity and allure. Made using an unique and ancient winemaking technique that dries the grapes before they're made into wine, elevating the sugar and alcohol level of the wine. And you know that's a remedy for temptation and indulgence if you've ever seen one.
