Moschato Spinas is an exceptionally rare, indigenous grape variety grown at Domaine Paterianakis. It originates from the western part of Crete. In ancient times, it was known as the “bee grape” because bees would often gather around the harvest baskets, likely drawn to its sweet and aromatic profile.
What makes this wine truly exciting is the contrast between its nose and palate. On the nose, it is rich and floral, while on the palate, it is crisp and vivid. Low alcohol, cripsy acidity rounded out with notes of citrus fruits make it a refreshing wine.
