The Wine: Nero d'Avola is an indigenous Sicilian red grape often considered the most important by whoever it is that makes those decisions. It's known for producing dark and full bodied red wines with ripe fruit notes, good acidity and strong tannins.
This nero d’Avola by Feudi del Pisciotto is full, velvety with pleasant fruity notes and light hints of spices. On the label, brush strokes of yellow and purple that evoke the Sicilian sun and the Nero d’Avola grapes, taken from the ceramics of the great master of Caltagirone, Giacomo Alessi.
